Anise oil – A popular flavoring agent, anise oil is the oil that is extracted from the seeds of the Pimpinella anisum plant. Boasting remarkable beautifying and cleansing properties, these seeds were often chewed to support fresh breath. Anise oil can help cleanse your teeth and gums. This oil also contains important nutrients, such as iron, manganese, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, as well as antioxidants, like anethole. Thanks to its sweet odor and pleasant licorice-like taste, anise oil is often used to flavor breath fresheners. 

Peppermint oil – Considered one of the most useful natural products for supporting fresh breath, peppermint essential oil is known for its distinctive cooling effect and refreshing aroma. Extracted from the fresh flowers and leaves of the Mentha piperita plant via steam distillation, peppermint oil possesses potent cleansing properties that can help keep your teeth clean and your breath fresh. As such, this highly versatile oil is often found in many natural and homemade toothpastes and mouthwash formulas.

Calcium carbonate – Calcium is an important nutrient that is necessary for your teeth and bones. A mild abrasive, calcium carbonate is a fine, white odorless powder that can effectively help polish teeth.
