The DuraFlo™ Water Filter is setting the new standard in water filtration. The DuraFlo™ has been tested and proven by independent water laboratories to remove virus, bacteria, giardia other water borne toxins and chemicals, providing purified drinking water from any non-salt water source.
The water filter's "End of Life" testing was established at 550 gallons for removal of virus and 700 gallons for removal of bacteria, giardia and other water borne toxins and chemicals. DuraFlo™ Water Filter also removes heavy metals, such as lead, fluoride, chlorine, industrial waste, toxic chemicals and many other pollutants you don't want to be drinking. We use our AquaBrick® everyday and avoid tap water completely!
The DuraFlo™ Water Filter Replacement works with any candlestick style water filters, such as Katadyn®, Aqua Pur®, Doulton® and the Berkey® water filter.
1. Actual Testing of the filter to Failure:
The DuraFlo™ filter has been through “End of Useful Life” testing which simply means the filter has been challenged every 25 gallons with a new massive dose of all the contaminants the water filter manufacturer claims the water filter will remove, such as bacteria, virus and giardia/cryptosporidium. This testing process is repeated every 25 gallons until the water filter fails to meet the EPA Water Quality Standards – hence “End of Life”.
2. DuraFlo™ Filter End of Life Test Results:
The DuraFlo™ water filter was tested by an independent water laboratory until the filter failed to meet the EPA Standards for Micro water purifiers.
The EPA standards for removal of micro-organisms from water are shown in percentage reduction as well as the water quality standard of “Log reduction”
Bacteria: 99.9999% 6 log reduction
Virus: 99.99% 4 log reduction
Giardia/Cryptosporidium 99.9% 3 log reduction
The DuraFlo Water Filter achieved the EPA Standards for the stated number of gallons:
Bacteria: 700 gallons
Giardia/Cryptosporidium: 700 Gallons
Virus: 550 Gallons
3. Drink Your Swimming Pool Water:
The DuraFlo™ Water Filter was tested to remove the chemicals typically found in a non-salt water, residential swimming pool. It met the established standards for removal of the chemicals for up to 500 gallons.
4. DuraFlo™ Filter Flow Rate:
The DuraFlo™ Water Filter flows up to 9.5 gallons per hour through a gravity fed system.
Comparable flow rates for other gravity fed systems are about 1.75 gallons per hour, per filter.
5. The DuraFlo™ Filter is Extremely Durable:
The DuraFlo™ Water Filter can be:
- Frozen
- Dropped
- Stored for long periods.
- You can also not over tighten the filter when installing it in the water container, which can happen with traditional “candle stick filters”.
Other types of “candle stick filters” which are typically made of carbon and/or ceramic, will crack if frozen or dropped which makes the filter unusable.
6. Storage of the DuraFlo™ Filter:
The DuraFlo™ Filter can be used and then stored for long periods of time. Simply rinse the filter off with clean water and allow it to dry.
The DuraFlo™ Filter Technology:
The DuraFlo™ filter’s Captivator Adsorbtion Media™ (CAM) filtration technology, combines media science with the most advanced filtration materials available today. The unique filter design and manufacturing method used create a multifaceted water filtration system. The process incorporates an electro-positive charge which attracts and pulls particles as small as viruses out of the water while still maintaining high flow. This breakthrough technology has been thoroughly tested and proven effective by independent water laboratories to consistently remove bacteria, virus, cryptosporidium, giardia and over 118 harmful chemicals from water using this remarkable method.
Once the contaminants are adsorbed onto the CAM they are permanently retained. If the filter is back-washed or agitated in water, the debris coming off the filter are particles greater than one micron which were mechanically removed by the media, not electrically adsorbed. The electro-adsorbed contaminants cannot be removed through any simple cleaning process. Trying to do so can damage the media and diminish efficiency. The DuraFlo™ filter is specifically designed as a dead-end, replaceable filter for the reduction of the broadest possible range of contaminants. For best results, it should be discarded when excessive pressure is needed to obtain filtered water and the flow rate of the water is slow. This means the filter has done its job to provide you with safe and pure water and it is now time for a new filter. The DuraFlo™ filter is rated for up to 550 gallons.
WHEN WATER IS NO LONGER ABLE TO FLOW THROUGH THE FILTER, IT IS TIME TO CHANGE IT.

Customer will be refunded original cost of the product minus a $25 flat rate restocking fee. The original shipping cost incurred by the Vendor will be deducted as well. Return Shipping Costs is at customer's expense.
